As we begin or 45th Annual Hands Across the Border
our two Most Excellent Companions Left to Right
M. E. G. Dean Hoke Grand High Priest of Maine and
M. E. Harold J. Planetta First Grand Principal of New Brunswick.
At each annual gathering a Jewel is presented to each of the Most
Excellent Companions in charge each year, the jewel is called the
Ben Ala jewel.
There are also Certificates of honorary membership granted to each
from each of the Grand Royal Arch Masons bodies. This one to Maine

We then have a bit of intermixing as all members have made and keep
friendships for many
years.
Next we have this Most Excellent Companion (the taller one), who keeps showing up
at all the mixed functions, Most Ex. Comp David Billings, he is representing
International Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons
Most Excellent Companion Leslie E. Buzzell, Past Grand High Priest, gave a short but interesting talk on the history of our Hands Across the Border.
Some of us have heard it before.
After a short recess the Maine Degree team presented
the Mark Master Degree on one Candidate from New Brunswick, center
Brother John Flynn.
