Darrell Kevin Thurber's Bio

Darrell was born on September 24th, 1957 at the Moncton Hospital and was educated in the District 2  Moncton School system, graduating from Moncton High School Trade coursing of Home Economics  June 1975 . He was a member of the 101 Air Cadets Sqn, serving 3 years prior to his Graduation. Shortly after which he joined the Canadian Armed Forces where he spent the better part of 21 years serving his country in various places, and duties.

His wife Karen Ann Harris formally of Dorchester and they have four children ranging from the age of 30 to 23. The oldest April receiving her Master's Degree in English is destined to the school system of NFLD.  Melanie, living near the Moncton Airport, (Leo-Paul), have a son the age of 4 years. So we are no Grand Parents too!
Brent, working in the cooking field, and has taken his trade coursing at the Community College in Moncton and is living in the Moncton area. The youngest, Storme, is living in the Toronto area, and working in the field of body art.

 

                Masonic History

 Craft Lodge

Darrell was raised as a Master Mason in Miramichi City, N.B. at Miramichi Lodge No. 18 on May 1983 ,  and was Master in 1987.

Capitular Masonry

Exalted as a Royal Arch Mason in Mount Lebanon Chapter No 5, Miramichi City 1984 and affiliated with Botsford Chapter No. , 1994 on retirement from the Armed Forces. First Principal of Botsford Chapter in 1998. Anointed High Priest in 1982 and is serving as Most Excellent President of the New Brunswick Council of Anointed High Priesthood.  He is grand representative to the State of Michigan. An honorary member of Grand Chapter of Michigan, Honorary Past Most Excellent President of the Order of High Priesthood of Michigan, both in Aug 2005.

Knights Templar

Consecrated a Knight of the Temple in Ivanhoe Preceptory No. 36 in 1985 and was Presiding Preceptor in 1999.  Elected to Provincial Grand Prior in 2005, installed August 2005 at Great Priory, held in Hamilton Ont.. Honorary member of the Past Grand Commanders Ass of Michigan, Aug 2005

Cryptic Masonry

Greeted in Tantramar Council No. 8 in 1985, received the Super Excellent Degree Nov 1994. Served as Thrice Illustrious Master in 1999.  Received the Order of Silver Trowel in 1999 and was appointed Grand Steward of Supreme Grand Council of the Eastern Jurisdiction of Canada in 2000 being installed to those duties. In May 2005 appointed to the Grand Exec Committee of Grand Council. Honorary member of the Thrice Ills Master's Council of Michigan, Aug 2005

Was greeted Spring of 1987, and now a Past Worshipful Commander Noah of the Mockton Lodge of Royal Ark Mariners.

Constantinian Masonry

Admitted and received in McLeod Moore Conclave No. 1 in 2005.

Holy Royal Arch Knight Templar Priests

He was admitted in 1996 and Nov 2004 - Nov 2005  holds the office of Very Em. Knight High Priest of Northumbria Tabernacle No. 111 of New Brunswick
