Preparation for this Special Convocation

On August 14, 2004
at 1330 hrs (1:30 PM), a Special Grand Chapter Convocation was convened to deal
with a large number of notices of motions.
The day was broken
up into two sections, starting with the morning
as we held our August Grand Chapter Executive meeting.
To which it was followed by Grand Chapter Special Session.

Standing Committees
There were several
other tasks that required special attention, and under
the direction of the 1st Grand Principal, Most Excellent Companion
Peter D. Devlin, special presentations were attended to.
1. May it be known
to all that on this date August 14, 2004 the
1st Grand Principal presented to Right Excellent Companion
Alton Gerrard (Gerry) Gardener a certificate whereby, and whereon
from this date forward he will be known as
(Honorary) Most Excellent Companion, with all rights and ceremonies
attached to said rank.
2. May it be known
to all that on this date of August 14, 2004 the
1st Grand Principal presented to Ex. John Fleetwood of Grand Chapter
of England a certificate making him an honorary member of the
Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons of New Brunswick.

Congratulations to both Companions.
Many of the motions were in
effect house keeping requirements with
other motions to deal with required corrections and updates on
several pieces of printed information concerning Grand Chapter.
The most important
issue to be dealt with on this day was the change to
Grand Chapter's annual meeting date:
Our meeting date of the 1st weekend in October of each year is changed
effective 2005 to the 2nd weekend in June.
